Description
Phytoline contains the predatory mite, Phytoseiulus persimilis. This species is a highly active hunter and has become a standard spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) treatment in many crops. It develops twice as fast as the spider mite at humidity levels that are above 60% (unfavorable to spider mites), which allows a rapid control of outbreaks. A female Phytoseiulus can destroy ten spider mite females and their progeny in just seven days under optimum conditions. It is less effective on Carmine mite (T. cinnabarinus).

Key Features
- It is produced locally in North America
- Recommended for spider mite control on a wide range of crops.
- Adults and young stages feed voraciously on all life stages of the two. spotted spider-mite.
- Controls spider mites resistant to acaricides.
Target Pests
- Two-spotted spider mite (TSSM)
- Carmine mite ( cinnabarinus)
How It Works
- Adults and young stages feed voraciously on all two-spotted spider mite life stages
- Effective at wide temperature range above 57°F (14°C) and can be used indoor and outdoors
- At temperatures over 86°F(30°C), spider mite growth rate will overtake that of Phytoseiulus
- Less active at low light levels but will not go into diapause.
Available delivery systems
Available in a range of sizes including:
- 500ml (16oz) bottle containing 2,000 or 20,000 mites for application over wide areas.
- 30 ml (1oz) vials containing the same number of mites for treatment of hot spots
- Blister pack contains 5 mini blisters, 200 predatory mite (1,000 total)
- The hot spot vial comes with a cap designed for dosing specific areas of the crop.

Handling & Storage
General instructions for use:
- Immediately before opening, tap base of the bottle sharply on a solid surface to dislodge mites. from inner surface, and gently roll bottle to distribute them evenly throughout carrier material.
- Apply mites repeatedly by inverting the bottle over spider-mite-infested-leaves.
- Each inversion delivers a measured amount of vermiculite.
- Tap and roll bottle before re-opening it.
- Leave empty bottle open on infected plants to allow any remaining predators to escape.
16oz/500ml bottle for large areas:
- Gently shaking and rotating bottle before using to give uniform distribution. Vigorous shaking will kill mites.
- Distribute the product directly over the leaves, inside the release box or hang the blister
- Repeat release and increase the rate in established spider mite colonies until control is achieved.
- For advice on recommended release rates, consult your technical specialist.
Instructions for use – Vial (for hot spot treatment):
- Use higher recommended rate range.
- Open each vial when ready to use in the greenhouse.
- Leave empty bottle open on infected plants to allow any remaining predators to escape.
- For advice on recommended release rates, consult your technical specialist.
Storage and transport
- Keep bottles horizontal and cool until use.
